Children 12 years old and above should be included in the vaccination program.

According to the information released by the Special Committee on Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) on 18 February 2021, the approach by the government for our nation’s Covid-19 vaccination policy is “to ensure that at least 80% of Malaysia’s adult population receive vaccines by February 2022”. This policy was set at a time when the world do not have sufficient data on the safety of the different vaccines on children aged below 18. However, since then, more information is currently available and some countries are starting to immunise children aged between 12 to 17. Instead of simply appealing parents to be more responsible in protecting their children, we strongly urge the JKJAV to revisit their initial strategy and allow children aged between 12 to 17 to be included in the vaccination program for these three main reasons: Firstly, as of May 31, a total of 82,341 children aged below 18 were tested positive for Covid-19. Out of that number, 27,402 of them were children aged 13-17. Even though currently none of these children is in intensive care unit, we cannot predict how the virus will continue to mutate, and if or when the virus will become deadly for the nation’s youngest community. If it is already safe to vaccinate children, we must do so. Secondly, in a school environment, the bulk of the ‘population’ is the students. Even though we do not know when school will resume, but schools will have to reopen one day, and we have to make the schools as safe as we can. It is not realistic to depend solely on getting the teachers vaccinated to protect the children. If enough students are vaccinated, the school might even have their own ‘herd immunity’. Therefore, if it is already safe to vaccinate children, we must do so. Thirdly, to achieve herd immunity nationally, to put it very simply, we must vaccinate as many people as we can. If it is already safe to vaccinate children, we must do so. We do acknowledge that there is a vaccine supply shortage in many countries around the world and securing enough supply is the most immediate problem that the JKJAV need to solve. After all, it is obvious that the best vaccination program cannot be implemented if we simply do not have the vaccines in the first place. However, good governance requires policy makers to plan well ahead into the future, which the current administration seemingly cannot do particularly well at.

 Andrew Chen Kah Eng, Setiausaha Negeri DAP Johor mengeluarkan pengumuman rasmi berkenaan Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Negeri DAP Johor Bil.3/21-24 yang dijalankan pada 01 Jun 2021. Jawantankuasa Negeri memutuskan beberapa usul, termasuk Pasukan Lawan Covid-19 DAP Johor, Projek Ibu Pejabat DAP Negeri Johor, dan Projek Digitalisasi DAP Negeri Johor.

Situasi wabak Covid-19 di negara kita semakin membimbangkan. Malangnya, sebilangan besar warganegara Malaysia yang bekerja di Singapura telah menjadi mangsa bagi kerajaan yang tidak efektif dalam menangani wabak covid-19 ini.

Skim Peraturan Ulang Alik Berkala (PCA) pada mulanya merupakan sesuatu cara yang baik bagi warganegara malaysia yang bekerja di Singapura untuk pulang ke Malaysia. Kini, ia telah kehilangan maknanya kerana individu yang pulang menggunakan PCA juga wajib menjalani kuarantin 14 hari di pusat kuarantin .

我国的疫情恶化，国盟政府防疫不力已是不争的事实，遗憾的是，大批在新加坡工作的马来西亚公民沦为被拖累的一群，原作为他们回家管道的新马周期性通勤安排（PCA）如今也失去原有的意义，令人遗憾。

讽刺的是，这发生在外交部长拿督斯里希山慕丁5月1日官访新加坡后的一个星期。

按目前的程序，所有通过新马周期性通勤安排，从新加坡返回我国的人士，都需要在政府指定的隔离中心隔离14天，当他们返回新加坡时，需要隔离21天，这样的一趟返家行程，一共需要隔离35天，花费近1万3000令吉。

Keadaan ini amat menyedihkan dan semakin ramai rakyat Malaysia yang mahu pulang ke Malaysia terpaksa menuggu kerana mengalami masalah kewangan untuk membayar kos ujian swab dan kuarantin di hotel. Inilah sebab mengapa ramai warganegara Malaysia yang bekerja di Singapura mengeluh : "perjalanan pulang ke tanah air menjadi semakin jauh"

这样的局面，无不令人揪心难过，而这解释了，为何越来越多在新加坡工作的马来西亚人会将“回家的路越来越远了”挂在嘴边。

As the pandemic situation in our country continue to worsen, the capability, or the lack thereof, of the PN government is apparent for all to see. Regrettably, one of its effects is that the special Periodic Commuting Arrangement (PCA) between Malaysia and Singapore has now lost its true meaning and purpose.

Ironically, this happened soon after the official visit to Singapore by our Foreign Minister Hishammuddin on May 1.

According to the current policies, all travellers under the PCA will have to serve a compulsory 14-day quarantine in a quarantine centre upon arrival in Johor. When they return to work, they will also be required to serve another 21-day quarantine in a government designated facility in Singapore, also mandatory. The whole quarantine process alone will take 35 days, and cost nearly RM13,000.

This is exactly the reason why many Malaysian workers in Singapore are saying: our homes are getting further and further away from us.

Wake up call for the Muhyiddin administration after the suspension of RGL by Singapore

 The Singapore government had announced today that the Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL) arrangement with Malaysia will be suspended for three months starting 1 Feb 2021. This comes a day after Malaysia recorded the highest ever daily new confirmed Covid-19 cases of 5725 on 29 January.

新加坡宣布暂停与我国之间的绿色通道3个月。这个宣布，正好就在我国新增新冠确诊病例突破新高，达5725例的隔一天。

This suspension of the RGL is a direct result of the failure of the Muhyiddin administration in their fight against the pandemic.

这项宣布，是首相丹斯里慕尤丁政府抗疫失败的直接结果。

Pelaksanaan Prosedur Operasi Piawai (SOP) berperanan penting dalam memerangi wabak Covid-19, walaubagaimanapun, ketidakkonsisten SOP sejak tempoh Pilihan Raya Negeri (PRN) Sabah telah menyebabkan situasi penularan wabak COVID-19 di negara ini semakin membimbangkan.

目前失控的疫情，端倪源自沙巴州选举开始，慕尤丁政府标准作业程序不一致所造成，这一点，马来西亚人需牢记。

Ekoran RGL diantara Malaysia dan Singapura ditangguhkan,tidak mustahil penangguhan Skim Peraturan Ulang Alik Berkala (PCA) tidak mustahil akan berlaku sekiranya keadaan pandemik bertambah buruk.

政府在抗疫方面的无能，造成了绿色通道被暂停、罗里司机严重堵车的问题。若情况持续恶化，不难排除马新两国的周期性通勤安排（PCA）会被暂停，甚至重演去年边境全面关闭的情况。

lift the requirement for all types of travellers arriving from Singapore to undergo 14-days of quarantine

 我们建议政府取消从新加坡入境的所有类型入境者需进行14天隔离的要求，这是因为新加坡已经证明拥有安全环境以及较低的风险指数(risk profile)，即，在过去的15天内，新加坡国内没有出现任何新增的本土感染病例。

为避免柔南区的经济活动崩溃，我们应欢迎来自新加坡的入境者，鼓励他们来马来西亚消费，进而为当地商家带来收入与产生经济活动。

1. 然而按照国际惯例，所有来自新加坡的入境者都必须在离境前的 #48小时接受新冠病毒PCR核酸检测和lgM抗体检测。

2.做为额外防控措施，我们建议所有来自新加坡入境者可以在新山关税、移民与检疫大厦通关时进行 #快速检测，而该测试结果通常会在大约30分钟内取得，只有测试结果呈阴性者才可获准入境马来西亚。

3. 若入境者出现任何新冠肺炎 #症状，即使检测结果呈阴性也将被拒绝入境，直到完全康复为止。

4. 至于那些被允许入境的人士需要强制下载并注册 #MySejahtera 的手机应用程序以方便追踪他们的行踪。

我们相信以上的四重安全措施将是解决新加坡与马来西亚，尤其是柔佛州的经济封锁的可行与可靠的科学性解决方案。

We suggest the government to lift the requirement for all types of travellers arriving from Singapore to undergo 14-days of quarantine because Singapore has proven a safe and much lower risk profile, with no domestic infection case in the past 15 days.

In order to prevent the businesses at South Johor region from collapsing, we should allow and encourage the travellers from Singapore to cross the border and therefore generate incomes and economic activities for local businesses.

1. However, as practiced internationally for overseas travellers, the travellers from Singapore would instead be subjected to mandatory both Covid-19 #PCR Swab Test and #lgM Antibody Test, 48 hours before departing the country.

2. As an additional infection control precautions, travellers should again subject to #AntigenRapidTest which result is usually generated in about 30 minutes, while going through the boundary clearance at CIQ JB, and can only be permitted to enter with negative result of the test.

3. However, travellers who show #symptoms of Covid-19 but tested negative for infections should also be declined to enter until fully recovered.

4. Those permitted to enter Johor should also be made mandatory to utilize the #MySejahtera contact tracing mobile application.

With the above 4-tier security measures, we trust that this is the feasible and reliable scientific solution to the existing issue of economy lockdown between Singapore and Malaysia, especially Johor.

bertemu semula setelah terpisah sekian lama团圆

 Terpisah sekian lama, kegembiraan dan nikmat bertemu kembali cukup menyentuh hati.

团圆，一点都不简单。

我们第五次为年长者、小孩、孕妇安排回国的交通，落在“复原行动管制令”（PKPP）时期。

这个时期，14天的隔离可居家进行，但条件是需先送往检测中心进行检测，结果呈阴性后才能回家。

这一次的安排，年长人士及小孩占多数，漫长的等待对他们以及同行的孕妇们来说，是一种煎熬。

团圆的路上，大家都很坚强，尤其是带着孙子回国的婆婆们，身理和心理承受的压力很大。

不仅如此，此趟也有独自回国的小孩，感谢同行的孕妇充当临时保姆，提供全天候的照顾。

午夜12点，我们陆续接到大家回到家报平安的消息，我想，这将是我们满足而有成就感的回忆。

kali ni, 38 orang warga emas,7 orang kanak-kanak dan 22 orang wanita hamil berjaya pulang ke rumah masing-masing.

Ramai yang gugur air mata apabila dapat bertemu dengan ahli keluarga mereka di Malaysia,termasuklah kanak-kanak yang bawah umur 12 tahun.

Sedih kata , masih ramai lagi yang tidak dapat pulang ke rumah mereka, ramai lagi yang masih terpisah dengan keluarga mereka.

Tarikh pembukaan sempadan Malaysia dan Singapura tiada jaminan lagi, setakat ni masih ramai yang menunggu keputusan kerajaan Malaysia dan Singapura.

Berapa lama harus menunggu lagi?
